I specialize in writing, English, grammar, SAT/ACT writing and reading comprehension, SSAT, and English as a Second Language (ESL). When tutoring, I draw on 30 years of experience as a writer and editor, a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Public Relations/Communications, and a Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certificate. My private clients range from elementary students, to high school students, to adults. College-bound seniors have sought my assistance with college application essays and personal statements. I strive to help all my clients hone their skills while enjoying the process in a trusting, informal atmosphere.
For five years, I was a collegiate learning assessment evaluator and trainer of critical analysis and communications skills with the Council for Aid to Education in NYC. I judged writing effectiveness, writing mechanics, critical analysis, and problem solving skills.
I also taught at The English School in Lawrenceville, N.J., for three years, and have been a Literary Arts adjudicator at the Teen Arts Festival in Mercer County, N.J., where I critiqued middle and high school students’ writing.
Although I have worked with a tutoring service in the past, clients may contact me directly. Private sessions are in-person, or through email or Zoom.
Please note: I have all of my required clearances for working with children.
