I am a writer, editor, wordcrafter, poet, lyricist, and tutor. And, in previous lives, I was a PR professional and an ophthalmic technician! These professions have informed who I am as everything plays into one another, swirling and blending like a watercolor painting.
In my corporate life, I was dubbed “the word maven.” I love words — whether they are in print, on a webpage, or in a multimedia presentation. And while I do use a Kindle, I also love holding books, envisioning the words lifting off the page and stirring the imagination, a goal I desire to achieve through my work. I have been writing practically my entire life and one of my passions is sharing not only my love of words, but also the empowerment clear expression provides for my students of all ages.
Collaborations with other creative people have granted me an outlet for my artistic expression. Poetry Takes Flight is my partnership with artist April Zay, and my efforts as a poet/lyricist can also be found through my work with composers Mandy Monreal, Max Vladimiroff, and others.
